30-Hour Professional Certification designed for licensed estheticians seeking advanced training in Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) applications for hair reduction and skin treatments. This course combines online pre-study theory with hands-on practical training. Course Format (30 Hours Required) Part 1: Online Theory - 12 hrs Students receive educational materials to study at home before hands-on training. Part 3: Lecture and Theory completed remotely from home via Zoom - 6 hrs Part 2: In-Person Clinical Training - 2 days from 9am to 3pm = 12 hrs Supervised practical instruction with live demonstrations and model practice. IPL Hair Reduction • Hair growth cycles • Treatment protocols • Candidate selection • Treatment intervals 3. IPL Photofacial Rejuvenation • Collagen stimulation • Photoaging • Redness and skin tone improvement 4. IPL for Acne • Acne protocols • Inflammation management • Sebaceous activity support 5. Hands-On Clinical Practice • Device settings • Live demonstrations • Model practice STUDENT MODEL REQUIREMENT Students must provide at least two models for hands-on practical training. PRE-TREATMENT GUIDELINES (AVOID 2 WEEKS PRIOR) • Sun exposure or tanning • Waxing, plucking or threading • Chemical peels • Retinoids or aggressive exfoliants • Photosensitizing medications CONTRAINDICATIONS MAY INCLUDE: Pregnancy, active infections, open lesions, recently tanned skin, certain medications or medical conditions.
